JB Digital Media is once again proud to be partnering with Belmont County Tourism to produce the 2024 Barnesville Pumpkin Festival's Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Giant Pumpkin Parade livestreams. With the on-going success of the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, which celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year, the livestreams of the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off and Parade follow suit- drawing in around 35,000 viewers total from all around the United States.

 

This is JB Digital Media’s second year partnering with Belmont County Tourism, which means some additions to the broadcast. “After the success of last year’s event, we immediately started working on what we could do this year to go-big-or-go-home for the 60th Anniversary of the Festival,” said owner Jonathan Burkhart.

 

Heading this year’s production is the return of an 18ft JIB, which will allow for sweeping, cinematic shots of the pumpkins being unloaded and placed on the scale, as well as a roaming gimbal rig for interviews and places the hard cameras cannot be. Being added to the broadcast are three new POV cameras- one on the lifting crane, one of the “Pumpkin Patch” (where all the weighed pumpkins are placed), and one located in the off-loading area to show the pumpkins as they arrive.

An updated set of custom-built graphics also returns, including the standard Weigh-In lower third, and standings list. Being added this year are a Pumpkin Profile, which highlights the seed variety, planting/removal dates, and square footage of the plant, and a live-updating ticker that will loop through all the current entries and show the entrant, weight, and growing location.

Live interviews will also be taking place through-out the night, as well as live interaction on the livestream with viewer’s comments.
